Bride-to-be Alert: Fluffbakery Cupcakes
Hola,

I didn't know that my previous post on Han's Skin Care went viral. I had more than 2000 people reading that post itself within 1 day! That's crazy! I'm pretty sure all of you users are very much interested to know my skincare update - And walaaaaah~ I will update from time to time on my skincare journey with Han's Skin Care, I promise.

Many came asking me this and that about the product, is it true that this product does wonders - Well my answer for that is, different product have different wonders but this product does MAGIC on my skin. It is suitable for both genders, so for those guys out there if you happen to be reading my blog too, join in the journey to a healthier skin. As simple as a clear skin canvas looks a lot better than having pimples and oily skin right?

So if you want to try this product, you want to feel confident with yourself, you rimas with all those makeup on your face, sick and tired of the horrible pimple popping suke-suke they want to appear:

E-mail me at oh.purplefrosting@gmail.com

I will be more than happy to explain an in-depth details of the product.

Okay enough of that for now ...

So look at the title again: Bride to be alert - FLUFFBAKERY CUPCAKES!

Uhhh, those babies - who doesn't know of them. If you don't you prolly tinggal dalam cave of something. They are extremely popular that queues are form even before they open the shop. Gile-gile!

What's so nice about these cupcakes? What makes them different from other cupcakes branding?

Good question! Firstly they are HALAL - very important! Secondly they are creative with their flavours. To be honest, ANYONE can bake Nutella Red Velvet cupcakes or Salted Caramel Cupcakes but korang try uh google Ondeh-ondeh cupcakes or Mango Stick Rice cupcakes - ade ke receipe dia on internet? Takde kan! That's what make them SUPER SPECIAL, nie bukan special lagi, nie dah SUPER SPECIAL!

Okay recently I heard, TAK TAO IF BETOL OR NOT, that they are taking order for lucky-bride to be of 2014 - they'll be baking for those lucky bride (JEALOUS!) and as I was browsing through Instagram I saw this:

"... It will be the first time Fluff Bakery will be taking wedding cake orders and we will be doing so ONLY via the event."

OH MY GOD, LUCKY BRIDE! TAK SUKE LAAAAHHH. Please invite me to your wedding so that I can a slice of the wedding cake.

BUT!

2015 BRIDES PLEASE READ THIS - Ehem(like me!) so that's a plus point!
Let's all stalk their instagram(they have like 21k followers) and send in our request once they open up this slot to the 2015 brides! I'm pretty sure they'll open up the slot pretty soon, but I'm not too sure when. But if they do, Brides-to-Be of 2015, please please please send in your request because having them to bake your wedding cake means a lot! Like A lot! Best of luck to everysingle one of you *sending flying kisses*

Anyhoots, I was on MC today, no not an excuse not to attend work, but I was sick. I think tengah musim. Lost my voice on tuesday and till today(sadly) maseh belom baik. Tune ade lari.

I saw that they're having Horlick cupcakes today as one of the flavours, wasted no time. Showered and off to their shop. Reached Fluffbakery at about 12.20pm? The Q was expected. Dah macam ular, punyalah panjang. They issued out Q-no. in order to serve us better which I think is pretty efficient coz' people without the Q-no. are not allowed to order. BAGUS KALAU TAK KAN, BANYAK YANG PLAYCHEAT, TAK SUKE!

and so my queue number was......

Waited for about 30 minutes before it was my turn. I ordered 6 Horlicks Cupcakes, 3 Nutella Red Velvet and 3 Salted Caramel - let me clarify, I wasn't being greedy! These are shared with my siblings and the pregnant sister was having her craving, like usual.

The person who served me got my order wrong initially she packed 6 red velvet instead of 6 horlicks - didn't blame her, maybe she can't hear me clearly since my voice is too husky still. Plus she was friendly, so yah, and I'm not a fussy customer, I just want my cupcakes. Heh!

Chopchopchop! Travelled back to my pregnant sister's house and had to wait bawah block for 20 minutes coz' she went to fetch her daughter from school. While waiting - I SWEAR the cupcakes was calling me. They went something like
"Eat me, Fill your tummy! Eat me! Eat me!"

Urggghh! Tak boleh tahan! The smell was crazy good that I just had to.....get that first bite! It's been ages tao tak tunggu kan this Horlicks flavour to come. Actually, they should make this permanent because the Nutella Red Velvet is too mainstream already, sadly that's the truth.

LOOK AT THAT.. OH MY GOD, JUST LOOKING AT IT MAKES ME WANT MORE AND MORE!

So yah, if this picture tempt you, for those who never tried them before. Please be kiasu and start queuing up tomorrow at 11am. There's a limit of 12 cupcakes per person. Okay pe, 2 kotak tuh!

And so that's the end of this wonderful cupcake story, the moment i stepped into my pregnant sister home, I ate the second one. HAH! Puas hati beta!

So before i knock out, sebab mata nie dah tak boleh tahan, Let me just show you something. A good comparison between Day 1 with Han's Skin Care and Day 24 with Han's Skin Care

So how, ready to embark the flawless and healthy skin with me my dearest BTB and the rest of my readers?

I've just received the superwhite glitter just now, and currently using it while typing this post. I'll do a review on this when I see the results, lets say in a week or so? So check this space again especially my dearest Brides-To-Be!

Till then!

Skincare Junkies: Hans Skin Care is HSA Approved
Hola, It's been a long long time since I last updated this blog. Ahhhhhh... This topic memang kena diblogkan because currently I am on my 3rd week to a flawless skincare journey with Hans Skin Care

First and foremost, This product is from Malaysia.

I don't deny that this 3 weeks are extremely difficult. I started to panic big time when I heard rumors about this product actually contains mercury. Ade lah yang cakap this product is a re-branding of Tabitha - I bet many of you heard of this brand before, it's illegal in Singapore and it's not approved by HSA due to the ingredients used, and yes this Tabitha product have mercury.

So whoever have been badmouthing on this product, I suggest you guys go put your product for test first. Prove to us(Hans Skin Care) users that ________________________ isn't a rebranding of Esther, another cosmetic that was banned by HSA late last year.

Okay enough of that, Let me share with you my journey:

Actually I was pretty skeptical when i first wanting to try Han's Skin Care - firstly because I'm not really a beauty-freak person. My facial wash can be brought over the counter-top. Secondly, my face needs to use HALAL facial wash, jangan tanya kenape, i pon tk tau! Coz if i happen to use products like Nivea or Garnier(btol tak spelling nie?) I tend to have like crazy, I repeat - crazy breakout! Thirdly, makeup does the trick for me. Any blemishes can be concealed with makeup - but the question is SAMPAI BILA?

Sampai bila kah aku harus menanti~
Sampai bila kah aku  harus menangis~
Sampai bilakah aku harus menanti dirimu~
Sampai bilakah cinta kita begini~

Okay-okay, That song just came into my head when i typed the work Sampai bila. Who knows that song? Sampai bila by Lela. Legend peeee~ Sape yang tak tau go youtube now and try dengar, confirm tau nya lah, yang adik-adik tuh.. ermmmm not too sure lah kan. Heh.

CHOPPPP! Back to the main topic. Han's Skin Care - They comes in 2 packaging:

  • Exclusive Set
  • Medium Set

What is so good about this Han's Skin Care? Actually the benefit banyak - but I'll  list down a few of the things/changes I see on myself when i started my journey with Han's Skin Care.

AHHHHH~ BUROK NYA TAKDE MAKEUP.

LEFT - The first day when i begin my journey with Hans Skin Care.
RIGHT - Week 1 in my journey with Hans Skin Care

Okay as you can see my face on the first day was pretty horrible. You can see uneven skin tone, open pores, white head and there's like a line of black-black thing on the nose bridge (NO, NOT THE MOLE) , My dark eye circle was the most obvious one. I remember clearly when I came to work with this bare look, my colleagues and students thought I was sick. My student thought i look weird without make-up. Sedih pe dengar.

And so days passed by - on the 4th day I started having peels underneath my eyes, cheek and everywhere. It was sakit okay at first. BUT the sakit last only 2 mins when you apply the toner. The peeling macam sunburn aje.

Week 1 - Uhhhhh! See how much the skin have cleared? The dark circle underneath the eyes cleared pretty fast eh? You can see that the cheeks is slightly flushy now. The nose tkmo cakap lah, the condition really improve!

Week 2 (refering to the bigger picture) - Condition keeps on improving but I'm still having peeling around my mouth. This is because the skin around our mouth is much more thicker. So it will take a longer time to peel. During this week, I was having my menses and ZERO pimple pop up. I couldn't contain my excitement. I should also thank my seller (Ohwellitsbelle Lamode) and (Norah Fyanda) for their constant reviews on facebook and updates on how i should not panic if there's peeling. That it's okay, it's part of the whole process. That really keeps me motivated.

Week 3 (refering to the Green T-shirt) - Was taken today. What do you think. Huge difference from day 1? Uhhhh I told you that Hans Skin Care is a miracle. There isn't any makeup or powder on the face. The face was totally bare! Can see that the skin is waaaaaaaaayyyy healthier than it was previously.

I'm going to continue this going bare face till my wedding day.
STRICTLY NO MAKEUP

To all BTB - Kalau nak flawless skin, try Hans Skin Care but remember if you're allergic to Placenta please avoid this product. Hans Skin Care uses Sheep Placenta(HALAL). Jangan cakap I tak bilang ehhhh.

I'm not an agent of Han's Skin Care but I'm a user myself. I'm very much satisfied with the changes that I've seen on myself. This post is my personal review on this awesome product.

Till then!

Wedding Fever: Catering by SMR
Part two.

This is one of the most difficult part of all. It's not that we are fussy or anything as such, its just that my family (late grandpa and my grandma) used to be tukang masak for orang khawin you see, so my parents kinda pick up some skills from both of them and they are very particular on the taste, especially my dad.

So anything that taste good on my dad taste butt, means it's really good. My grandma better still - she's able to tell what is inside the dish just by tasting a little bit. Seriously? How on earth did they do it? I remember on incident very clearly, my late grandpa and grandma last catering service they did for one of my relatives, by that time they wanted to retire due to old age, not 1 or 2 but 3 Chinese couple who happens to live in that block where the event was held, came to the kitchen with their own plate and asked them whether is it okay if they buy some of the food from us 'bcoz the smell was on calling them to come down and have a taste of the awesome food and so that they couldn't resist it. They are even willing to pay $10.00 for one plate of briyani.

But of course, my late grandpa declined and told them to feel free and eat the food that's available. They can pass the money the the mother of the bride, plus there's more than enough food for everyone.

Moments later they came back to the kitchen and complimented my grandparents for the awesome food.

"Uncle, I don't really like briyani, but your briyani is one kind. It's very nice, you happen to have a shop anywhere?" - asked the man.

My late grandpa had a little chat and the couples went off. It's the air tangan you see. I can cook but i don't think i'll be as good as my grandparents are.

Back to my catering, remember in my previous post, I posted some photos of us (fiance and I) going for a food tasting with SMR? Yeah, it was our 131473579275 food-tasting and it sealed it!

The thing about me is I'm not a fan of briyani but the fiance is. I'm more to the white-rice kinda girl when it comes to malay weddings. Took different dishes to taste and it was tip-top. The sweet and sour dory fish was crispy, the sauce had this sweet and a little sourish taste(tomato-like) on the taste butt. The daging masak briyani was the best among all. The beef was at a perfect state that you don't need to chew and chew. It was soft and blends well with the rempah-rempah.

Kak Radiah - the owner/director of the company was very nice. She guided us through the food-tasting unlike some catering company, ade ke orang datang food tasting, they gave us packed food? So the experience with SMR was a totally different one. The hospitality was great! I really felt appreciated when she actually explain the different variation that her catering company are able to offer us. I think it was the best that we've went to so far.

Just a little history of SMR: They have been in this catering and decor industry for 13 years. They've built a good and established their reputation well and making it one of the leading catering/decor company in Singapore. You can visit http://www.smrwedding.sg/ to know more about them

A little extra effort goes a long-mile.

I'll update more on the signing of agreement next week! I'll blog more on the details of the packages that i'll be taking and the price breakdown. Read the blog soon brides-to-be!

Wedding Fever: Bridal - Grandeur Fai by G5 Events Pte Ltd
Ahhhhh... After month and months of planning after the engagement, we managed to settle on our bridal for the big day. Fine, it's more like I've been having this bridal in my mind since the day i know that i'm getting married someday. HEH~

I've been a great and prolly the biggest fan of Abg Fai Bani's makeup. He's such an inspiration. I'm thankful to know quite a handful of people in this 'khawin-khawin' industry thus making my sourcing out for the best out of the best for my wedding day a smooth-flowing one. Not trying to boast, but my resources are the ones you've always heard off and they are good - like super good!

Credits to Grandeur Fai Facebook

One of his signature makeup that NOBODY can copy is his Botox Cheekbone. I do not know how he does it but he is terlalu skilled in that! His tangan is extremely magical. Dah macam magicwand - Wahh suddenly cantik gitu!

I need people like him to beautify my tak cantik face - so that i can get (maybe) one or two skipped heartbeat, when i look into the mirror and see myself suddenly macam cantik gitu!

Ohhh wait - the day before, Yesterday I went for a food-tasting at one of SMR wedding place, over at Chai Chee Road and it was love at first sight. I'll explain more later part. Here's the sneakpeek from the wedding - whoever that wedding was - it was freaking awesome. The decor was also from SMR!

Right after the food-tasting, headed down to Singapore Expo and I was happily finding for Grandeur Fai but it was not available. Called Abg Fai up and found out that he's having a private exhibition over at his place.

And guess what - Me being kiasu, yes even my fiance can't stand me when it comes to the bridal part, coz' he almost gave up halfway walking around with me. I caught fiance rolling his eyes at me twice for being very choosy and too detailed today. Jahat kan dia! Sorry lah sayang - Can't help it, who doesn't want the best for your big day right? Lucky thing he got his best-friend to accompany him! I texted Abg Fai and booked an appointment the very next day, which is today!

Fiance fetched me from the house and straight to Abg Fai's place and guess what - I punya lah confident, tak nak tengok address, we ended up at the wrong floor! Pressed the bell a few times, lucky thing the owner didn't open the door. If not - Paiseh sangat-sangat!

I was basically blown away the moment i stepped into Abg Fai's apartment. It was WOW!!! No other words to describe the feeling. His hospitality was tip-top. Fiance who was very shy at first and EXTREMELY SKEPTICAL also started to loosen up.

So as per normal we went through our process of seeing the portfolio etc,etc - and i was like screaming in my heart - please sayang please agree! Pleasssseeeee!

We shook hands with Abg Fai and went off : The first thing that came out from my fiance mouth was

"I love his makeup and I like this bridal ... I think we know who should we take for our big day already" I happy sangat-sangat! I was literally screaming in the lift, too excited - overdosed!

I'm all geared up for my proper formal signing agreement with Grandeur Fai.
Seriously who says Grandeur Fai was expensive? Seriously people. Look at the bigger picture - he throw in lots of free goodies for the bride and groom which I think is very much fair. The groom gets to keep the wedding suit which is tailored made and the bride gets a free wedding heels, which is to die for! / or maybe a free trial makeup.

I would highly recommend the heels coz' why would you want a free trial makeup when you know his makeup is crazy good? You get what i mean?

I'll update more when we've already sign the agreement with Grandeur Fai next week!

The Engagement
First and foremost I would like to thank everyone who came to my mini-big day. It wasn't suppose to be a big event but syukur alhamdulilah the turn out was good. The food was good - 'coz the head chef was my grandmother and my mother.

It was held at my place and I understand that many came but didn't managed to get inside to take photo with me because of the crowd. Tak tau lah plak my family is like super big. Nak cakap jalan card, card pon tak bikin. hehe.

After 8 years of dating, we finally decide that we are ready. I don't deny - we had too many ups and downs while being together (yes, ade breakup in between) but alhamdulilah jodoh takkan ke mana.

The engagement preparation is more of a DIY thingy. Food was prepared by the two awesome cook mentioned earlier, the gubahan was done by my brother-in-law's mother. We didn't buy any dulang or kain - we basically re-use whatever my first sister's wedding theme colour to our engagement theme colour!
The berkat was bought in Johor that one only cannot recycle. haha.. The engagement dress, yes I feeling very princess when I tried it on, was purchased from lulu-alhadad.

Let me tell you more about this beautiful clothing. Many actually asked me where did I purchased this Royal yellow sequin dress - yes now that you've known - It's from LuluAlhadad evening dress collection.

It was love at the first sight! When i saw Norfasarie wearing this dress in tiffany blue, I had jitter in my belly. It was too beautiful to resist. Fiance was very kind-hearted (after lots of pleading) he agreed to pay for the dress!

Initially the dress was sleeveless and of course it wasn't appropriate according to our customary. I did a little tweaking, walked around Arab Street and found the perfect colour! Right after that this beautiful dress was sent for tailoring  (mini-makeover) and added in the sleeve!

Even norfasarie was in love with the colour. But i love the tiffany blue that she wore, better. But never the less this Royal Yellow looks beautiful too!

My makeup artist was pippin emerald. I bet many of you would have already hear of her name somewhere. A woman who's crazy good in makeup. Her details on things are crazy. You can find her on facebook too!

This is her newly created page - or you can simply type in her name Pippin Emerald and walaaahh! you'll be able to find her. I told Pippin specifically that i do not want anything harsh. I want it to look as natural as possible. I don't want to look as though i'm putting on 10kg of makeup on my face because I want to look different on my wedding day. Seriously, nanti kalau your makeup on your wedding day and tunang same as in very tebal - people won't see the difference at all.Kan defeats the whole purpose of makeup!

The photographer was a good buddy of mine - a person whom i got to know along this journey. Thanks to my wonderful friend, Julia, who introduced me to him. Me being me told Amino(the photographer name),
that i wanted something simple and don't edit too much. I want the whole feel of it to be there.Honestly, I felt he did a great job in fulfilling my wants. You can find Phat's Gallery Inc in facebook!Did i mention that their price is extremely affordable and he throw in lots of free goodies for you too!

Here are some of pippin's and Phat's gallery work on my mini big day

My engagement cake was baked by the one and only BatterMischief. Batter Mischief is a fresh and trendy one-stop bakery in your neighbourhood. Kak June was very nice and she listens to you. She macam kire you cakap lah macam mane you nak, nanti she will design it for you. Talented kan, so jealous!
You can find Batter Mischief on facebook.

This is my engagement cake. Fiance and I order from her because fiance was sold was she designed the cupcake with his bike logo on it. As for me, the oozing chocolate and the kit-kat sealed it. It was a chocolate heaven if there's any.

Why same design and flavour - So that kite dua tak berebot. Pandai kan (:

I had a wonderful day and managed to catch up with my long lost friends who came down for the engagement. If you were to ask me on the amount that I spend for my engagement - i think it's below 2K. Banyak DIY and being sponsored by my siblings and cousins. I cut cost like a lot!

The only expensive things on our tray (we exchanged 7 tray) - was my birthday present DKNY handbang and wallet, Oakley Valentino Rossi Limited Edition Shades, his riding shoe - which I don't like the design at all, but Fiance love it so much and the Engagement ring from Citigem.

So ya - Till then!
